St. Mark's will be presenting a new format to the Sunday School curriculum this year titled "Faith Quest". We are very excited about this new approach and hope the children will share this sentiment once we begin.
Grades Kindergarten through Grade 5
Faith Quest - This rotation model is a "learning by doing" approach.
Each lesson set is presented through colorful, bright, and exciting workshop rooms which will be chosen from:

The same Bible story or concept is taught in the workshops over five weeks. Each Sunday, the group of children rotate to a new workshop.
Each Sunday morning the Faith Quest children gather with their Sheppard (teacher) in the Chapel. This is a time together for singing, prayer, birthdays, offerings, name tags.
The children then ajourn to their workshops for the remainder of the time. The children are grouped according to their ages, with children of similar ages together. The classes are called:

These workshops create opportunities to learn by doing. A goal is to ensure familiarty with key Bible stories and Bible memory verse. The lesson sets:

To help parents locate their child/chidren each Sunday, there will be a schedule posted on the Sunday School bulletin board. The schedule will let you know what station your child participated in and where it is located.
Preschool
Pollywogs - Heather Feicht will be running a program for children who are not yet in Kindergarten. The group of children will meet each Sunday in the pre-school room. There will be a variety of activities from coloring to crafts to snacks.
Grades 6 and Up
 - Angela Carleton will be meeting each week with the children who are in Grades 6 and up. They will be discussing several topics throughout the year. Some of the topics include Zacchaous, Gideon and Ruth, Abraham and Jojeph, Jesus' Ministry, Wisdom, Proverbs and David - Rise of the Kingdom.
